Got my son Ethan a toddler bed today. He was so happy about it when we got home. He went and payed on it in the living room while I took out his crib from his room. I put the bed in his room. He was playing with jumping on it, laying on it all day, until he wanted to take a nap. He did not like his bed any more. He started walking around the house with his blanket and grabbing his ear. (Grabbing his ear, does not mean he has a ear infection. Trust me I found out, by taking him to the doctors asking about it. My son grabs his ear when he is really tired. It is an indicator.) he did not want to go to sleep in his new bed. He wanted his crib, I felt bad. I went in to his room and lated with him, but that did not work. I tried having him just lay in the bed with his stuff animal “doggie”. But that did not work either. So my husband came in and picked him up and rocked him back and forth in my arms until he fell asleep. Then he put him in his bed once he fell asleep for his nap. Good thing I had his dad there. He would never go to sleep in my arms when I rock him. For some reason he will only fall asleep in my husbands arms. We when through the same thing a night for bed time. My husband had to do his thing again and he put him to sleep. New bed adventures. What are some techniques you have to put your child to sleep in there new crib or bed? I would love to here your story’s. I will not have my husband here tomorrow and would like to know how to put him down for his nap and to bed at night. Thank you. 😁
